  About Kamchatka.
The Valley of Geysers is one of the most famous places in Kamchatka, it is situated in the Geysernaya River Valley having step slopes decorated with parti-colored tuff stratification, boiling pots of mud and scenic water falls. Numeral geysers are distributed through out the bottom and slopes of the valley.
The Caldera of Uzon Volcano is situated in the bottom of the crater appeared as a result of explosion of a giant ancient volcano. The site is interesting as a natural laboratory demonstrating life at the very beginning of the earth creation - polycolour algae species living in boiling water, miracle lakes where swans use to spend winter, mud pots and microvolcanoes, what a charm the landscape is in autumn decoration!
Kamchatka Peninsula is formed by two volcanic chains – Central Kamchatkan chain going along the Central Kamchatkan Ridge (maximum elevation in Ichinsky Volcano) and East-Kamchatkan chain spread from Ozernaya Settlement to Lopatka Cape. The majority of active volcanoes is situated in the East-Kamchatkan volcanic chain.
In total there are 30 active volcanoes in Kamchatka, the most high of them Klutchevskaya Sopka (4750m) is a “Challenge Cup” as for professional either for dilettante climbers in the world.
Kamchatka, however, is not the land of volcanoes and geysers only. Other landscapes of the peninsula are wonderful and special. These are the valleys of the large rivers – Kamchatka River, Bolshaya River, Zhupanova River, Bystraya River, Opala River. The rivers are famouse due to abundant populations of Pacific Salmon species – chinook salmon, sockeye salmon, chum, pink and coho salmons entering the rivers for their spawn.
Till nowadays bird colonies on the seashore rocks are abundant in Kamchatka. One can hear unceasing bird hubbub in the rocks: sea gulls, shags, kittiwakes, fulmars, kiddaws and puffins. Seals use to swim near the rocks.
